This is very good book for beginners. I learned basics of Magic the Gathering. I get idea how to play and learn attacking techniques. This book let me know to determine color for game. I learned to test deck. This is very interesting trading card game. It is battle between wizards. I get knowledge of rules to play this game. Overall this book is very helpful.

As a long time MtG player, I know a bit about the game. I got this book for my son, thinking it might show him a few things I didn't know. Unfortunately, this book does little to teach you about the game. It's EXTREMELY basic, and lacking in detail. Sections are a little as a couple of paragraphs in most cases. Some don't even cover the topic. There is one section titled "Mana Curve", but all it does is tell you very simply what mana is used for.With no exaggeration, I could have written this book (but better) in an hour. I don't recommend this book for anyone. Not even beginners just getting started.

Previously i have invested a lot of money and time in this game but never really got any returns. Then my friend suggested me this book and i must say the styles and colours mentioned are easy to nderstand and apply. There are various styles one can choose while playing and thus will give you an upper hand in the game!

This book does not teach you anything about magic. It took less than 10 minutes to read and it does nothing to increase your knowledge of the game. If you are the most basic (as in you have never played before) player, it might be somewhat helpful. If you are looking to increase your deckbuilding skill and win, this is not for you. The price is also exceptionally high for such a short and poorly done product.

Nice book for learning to work out magic with the deck building. I enjoyed the instructions and how the book is laid out. Interesting book cover, indeed.

This book is for someone that has minimal understanding of the game. There is so much not discussed. May be good if you just got a set of cards for the first time.

I usually never take time to write reviews here on Amazon, because I feel that most of the time the reviews are very well written and actually describe both the good and the bad of any given product or book. I feel that in this case, I cannot believe what I just purchased. I just read this book in 4 minutes. I don't read fast, 4 minutes. To say you could get more contend from a free web article would be an understatement, as this book was literally just a book stating its purpose, "To help you build the best Magic Deck that you can" and then the book ends. That's it. Hard to believe, but trust me, 4 minutes I wish I could have back. Hope this helps other people not make the same mistake that I did.

This book is a mislead..it is not a book like in the photo ..it is 27 pages double spaced in a huge font ..basically an article trying to be a book ..it should be free..i waited a long time to recieve and was just disapointed... I read it in five minutes .Maybe its not the authors fault ..someone told him this would be a good book. ...its not ..it makes promises on the back cover and it carrys through with none...the illustrations of the book show a thick book and it is nothing more than a brochure..your efforts are appreciated.however .please do not claim knowledge on a topic when you can provide no more than explaining 4 types of decks people buy hardcopy books because they want to refer back to them and not enter websites.books are a special thing i hope you can muster up more if you continue to "write" ...ugh.. Sorry this is so blunt..take.it as a channel fireball to the brain.You can do better.
