I found the e-book St. Peter: The Life and Legacy of Jesus Christ? Most Important Disciple to be very interesting. I never took the time to count how many times St. Peter is mentioned in the New Testament but the authors of this book did. The e-book explains that fishermen at that time were considered relatively prosperous and that St. Peter was married before he became Christ’s disciple. The book explains that it is necessary to apply high historical and literary criticism to determine St. Peter’s life. One last thought it is highly doubtful that the Romans crucified St. Peter upside down. The book is concise and possibly too concise because the book seems a little bit rushed. The book also describes the documents that the author used to determine who St. Paul was including his life before and after meeting Jesus.

Really enjoyed this historical overview of St. Peter. He was the most strong-willed and "human" of the apostles due to his up-and-down engagement with Jesus throughout his life. This book highlights and goes into detail on his activities and backs it up with not only biblical writings, but other historical writings and instances. It reads well and not too "educational" where you want to go away and come back. Good pacing and well versed.

A brief overview of one of Christianity's most important Apostles. Encourages one to explore his life in greater depth. I look forward to doing so.

The only thing Amazon is allowing me to do with this book is to download a sample. There seems to be no way to purchase the entire book in Kindle format.
