I'm sure this is probably a great book, a professor requires me to have it, but I'm pretty sure mines not right. It sart at pg 1 goes to pg 22 then starts over, at the second pg 22 it jumps to pg 55.

unless you're assigned this book for a grade, avoid this book like it's the plague. Not only does the author spectacularly fail to define field-specific vocabulary, leaving the reader adrift in a sea of barely-penetrable jargon, but they also insist on defining commonly-understood terms. Sections that would benefit from diagrams are solid walls of text; conversely, complex ideas are explained almost wholly through images. And, most quite frankly, the book is ugly. The layout is visually unappealing, and in the case of sections of white text on red background, hard to read. For a book centered on visual design, you'd think the writer would be better at it.

I'm not usually a tech person but this book (partnered with my instructor's lectures) really helped better my understanding of the technical aspects of theatre. The examples are great and I learned a lot.

Good quality! Right price, great content! Would recommend.
